SATSUMA, LA (WAFB) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies say they arrested a man after he allegedly ran in front of a school bus without any clothes on.
Deputies say a call was placed to 911 at around 7:45 Friday morning by a startled bus driver on Cane Market Road near Satsuma. The bus was headed to a nearby elementary school and was fully loaded with 32 students in grades 1st through 5th.
The driver told the 911 operator that a totally naked man suddenly appeared running down the road toward her bus. She said she had to swerve into the other traffic lane to avoid hitting him.
Sheriff's units arrived on scene within minutes, but were told by DOTD workers in the area that the man had gotten off the road and jumped into a nearby pond. After a brief search, deputies say they found the man in a pond that had recently been dug in the yard of a newly built home. They say there were small children at the home who also saw the man.
Deputies say they took 22-year-old Casey Hagan of Baker into custody. Witnesses in the area pointed out a pile of clothing lying on the side of the road containing the man's driver's license, as he had no identification on him. He's charged with indecent exposure, disturbing the peace by intoxication, criminal trespass, and obstruction of a public passage.
He was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail and bonded out the following day.
