(LEBANON, OH) -- A former child's service attorney from New Albany, Ohio, was sentenced Wednesday in Warren County on charges of importuning.

Barry Mentser, 48, was arrested last October when he appeared at the Ohio statehouse cafeteria intending to meet a 14-year-old girl he met online.

The juvenile turned out to be undercover Hamilton Township Lieutenant Jeff Braley.

Judge Bronson sentenced Mentser to three years of community control, 30 days in jail and a $500 fine on each count.

He was also classified as a Tier II sex offender, requiring him to report to authorities for 25 years.

Mentser was indicted in Warren County for importuning. Another charge of attempted unlawful conduct with a minor was transferred to Franklin County.
