(BATAVIA, OH) -- A 24-hour Memorial Day vigil is being held in Clermont County to honor fallen soldiers from Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
American flags are being placed atop a cross at the Union Township Veterans Memorial Park.
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 649 began this service in 1993 for the fallen heroes of the Vietnam War. Since then, soldiers from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom have been included, as well.
During the vigil, the Boy Scouts of America red the name, rank, branch of service and date of their sacrifice.
Closing ceremonies will be Monday at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
