UPDATE: Mom accused of using 1-year-old son as designated driver pleads guilty

Update: Marya Green entered a guilty plea on Monday to drunk driving and child endangering.

This is her fourth drunk driving conviction in six years. She will be sentenced later this month.

Previously: A Goshen mother has been arrested, accused of using her 1-year-old son as a designated driver.

Police say they observed Marya Green, 29, driving her car while under suspension at the intersection of Buddy Lane and Park Ave. at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park in Loveland on Wednesday.

When police pulled her over, they found her 1-year-old son on her lap, and she was allowing him to steer the car.

Green also had two other children, ages 8 and 5, in the car with her.

Police say Green had a blood-alcohol level of .111 percent, nearly twice the legal limit. It is her third OVI arrest in six years.

Police have released the children to their father.

Green now faces charges of DUI, Driving under OVI suspension, non-compliance and endangering children.
