Taft High School says a verbal argument turned nasty during a sophomore English class.
The teacher in the class, who was seven months pregnant, went to get help.
The fight goes on for about 30 seconds before the girls are broken up. The aggressor in the fight is now facing criminal assault charges.
"Everybody understands the rules about being responsible situations get heated but unfortunately that one went way past the mark and we'll keep working diligently to talk to young people about being responsible not just in the classroom but in the community," said Taft principal Anthony Smith.
The instigator of the fight has also been expelled from school for 80 days, but that'll be reduced to 45 days if she completes an anger management class.
