UPDATE: Woman dead, family in hospital following I-75 crash

UPDATE: Police are investigating a single car fatal accident that happened this afternoon on Interstate 75 at the 15.2 milepost.

Police report Randy Rudd lost control of his 2006 Pontiac Torrent and flipped several times.  The car landed on its roof.  Rudd's occupants, his wife Terri and their juvenile daughter were thrown from the vehicle.

Terri died at the hospital.  The daughter is listed as stable at Children's Hospital.

Sharonville Police Department is investigating the accident.  They are asking anyone who may have seen the wreck t ocall 513-563-1147.

Update: Two lanes of traffic have been reopened.

Crews remain on the scene, as the vehicle has not yet been removed.


Northbound traffic is being diverted on Interstate 75 due to a one-car accident which has shut down northbound I-75 at Sharon Road.

Currently traffic is being diverted off the interstate at mile-marker 15.  Police are working to shut down NB 75 at Glendale-Milford to help with the backup.

The accident occurred just after 1 p.m.

Early reports have three victims.  One is currently trapped in the vehicle. Two AirCare helicopters have been called to the scene.

Motorists should expect long delays and should try to avoid the area if possible.

ARTIMIS estimates the scene should take about an hour to clear.
