(CINCINNATI) -- The owner of a home where two Colerain Township firefighters died will not go to jail for drug charges.
Marijuana plants were found in the home of Matthew Cones following the April fire that killed Robin Broxterman and Brian Schira.
Investigators say the marijuana had nothing to do with the cause of the fire, which was a malfunctioning fan in a cedar closet.
Cones was sentenced on Thursday to two years of probation and was given a $1,000 fine. He must also undergo drug treatment and his drivers license was suspended for six months.
