UPDATE: Bond set in fatal pedestrian crash

CINCINNATI (FOX19) --

UPDATE: Carl Bessy appeared in court Wednesday morning, where his bond was set at $250,000.

PREVIOUSLY:

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car late Monday night.

It happened just before 11 p.m. on Riverside Drive.

Rodney Fuston, 39, was struck by a Chevy truck traveling westbound. Police say he died at the scene.

The vehicle was operated by Carl Bessy, 50. Bessy was not injured and wearing a seatbelt.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash. Bessy fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later. He faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an auto accident.
