CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- A singer with the Cincinnati Opera has been arrested and charged with assaulting another man.

Police say Miroslaw Witkowski assaulted the man on the Fourth of July, but charges were just filed on July 16.

Court documents say Witkowski "did strike the victim numerous times causing visible physical harm."

Witkowski made his Cincinnati Opera debut in 2007 as Wagner in Faust. He returned in 2008 as the Imperial Commissioner in Madame Butterfly and Giuseppe in La Traviata.
