WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) --  A West Chester man has been killed in a house fire.

It happened before Midnight Friday in the 8200 block of Lois Drive.

The victim is 65 year old Robert Hunter. He was unable to get out of the home before flames engulfed it.

He was pulled out of the house and taken to Bethesda North Hospital,  but they were not able to revive him.

Hunter's daughter says the fire may have started because her father overheated a lamp by using a bulb that was too strong.

Investigators have not yet determined if that or some other source caused the fire.

Family members say Hunter had lived in the home for 40 years.
