BATAVIA TWP., OH (FOX19) - A Cincinnati man is charged with felonious assault for driving a truck into an apartment where a woman and child lived.

On Wednesday at 1:30pm, deputies responded to the 4300 block of Armstrong Boulevard in Batavia Township.

When they arrived they found that a pickup truck was driven into an apartment complex.

Deputies later determined that 30-year-old Richard Johnson drove into the building as a part of a violent attack on a woman and a child who lived there. Officials say the truck was almost completely engulfed by the apartment.

The woman was taken to University Hospital and her injuries are not life-threatening. The child was unharmed and is now staying with a family member.

Johnson is now charged with two counts of felonious assault and is being held at the Clermont County Jail.
