MOUNT ADAMS, OH (FOX19) -- A Hamilton County County assistant prosecutor will be in court Monday facing charges of child endangerment and driving under the influence.
Police say they arrested James J. Schaefer, 44, at 11 p.m. Friday night in Mount Adams.
Schaefer allegedly had his 9-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son in the car with him after he had been drinking at the Holy Cross Immaculata church festival.
"I saw him going down the road the wrong way, kind of fast," said witness Rita O'Neil. "Knowing that it's a prosecutor, I think that he should be held to a standard of watching himself when he's drinking and driving, and taking a cab."
Schaefer is charged with two counts of child endangerment and one charge of driving under the influence.
He is also charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
