BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) -- The Boone County Sheriff's Office says the owners of a Boone County auto sales shop have been criminally charged after several customers have complained they have yet to receive the necessary paperwork for their license plates.

Det. Coy Cox of the Boone County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division will be meeting with those customers of Details Auto Sales on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Boone County Sheriff's Office on Conrad Lane in Burlington.

The intent is to provide the paperwork and facilitate the acquisition of license plates. Police say there are 65 identified victims.

Police say the case is similar to the Hebron Auto Sales case of February 2006.

The owners of Details Auto Sales, Francis and Dawn Divita, have been charged. Police say they are not cooperating with authorities on locating the paperwork.
