CINCINNATI (FOX19) -- Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a bicyclist was hit by a pick up truck.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Drive.

Police say James Kelly II, 23, was operating his bicycle eastbound on Martin Luther King Drive in a pedestrian crosswalk when he ran into the front end of a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was turning left onto Woodside Drive.

Kelly was transported to University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the truck, Roger Miller, 53, was not injured.

Police say witnesses reported seeing a green pickup truck parked near the scene at the time of the crash. The traffic unit would like to interview the driver of the truck, but they left the scene prior to police arrival.

Any witnesses to the crash or anyone with information on the driver of the green truck should call the traffic unit at 513-352-2514.
