AMELIA, OH (FOX19) -- The Clermont County board of elections says residents who were in favor of dissolving the village of Amelia instead of paying a new tax have failed to get enough support to put the issue on the November ballot.

A group called Amelia Residents for Fiscal Responsibility circulated a petition, but failed to get the 450 proper signatures needed.

The Amelia Village Council will discuss the one percent earnings tax.
