PRICE HILL, OH (F0X19) -- Fire officials in Price Hill are investigating a suspicious fire.
It happened just after midnight Monday in the 3600 block of LaSalle Ave.
Upon arrival initial fire units encountered heavy smoke issuing from first, second, as well as the third floor of this three-story balloon-frame dwelling. Investigators say the origin of fire was in the basement and due to the type pf construction the fire entered the open voids space in the walls. There was moderate fire damage to the basement and first floor with minimal damage to the second and third floors.
The Cincinnati Fire Department's Fire Investigation Unit is investigating this fire.
Twenty-eight fire personnel responded to this incident. Fire damage is estimated at $20,000, this structure was vacant and had no working smoke detectors.
