CINCINNATI (FOX19) -- A Milan, Ind. mom is facing charges of child endangerment for allegedly abusing her 9-month-old baby.

Hamilton County court records show Kellie Lewis, 26, was arrested on Tuesday based on medical records from Children's Hospital.

Lewis faces one count of child endangerment. She was arraigned in court on Wednesday morning, where a judge set her bond at $5,000 and ordered her to stay away from her baby.

Some of Lewis' relatives have told called FOX19 saying the baby was premature, and that's why the child has been in the hospital.
