Man arrested for firing shots in West Chester subdivision

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -- A man was arrested Thursday night after firing a gun in a subdivision off Tylersville Road at SR 747.

It happened around 2 p.m. in the 4300 block of Yacht Haven Way.

Police say Robert Lillard, 18, attempted to rob another man at gunpoint. The victim attempted to flee when Lillard fired shots at him.

Lillard was caught by police a short time later after temporarily barricading himself inside a home.

Two nearby schools were locked down for a short time while police caught up with Lillard.

He's now charged with aggravated robberty, discharge of a firearm and felonious assault. The victim was not hurt.
