CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- In response to the planned path of Hurricane Ike, six patients from Shriners Hospitals for Children - Galveston have been brought to the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital for expert pediatric burn care.

An initial team of nurses from Galveston arrived on Thursday to get acquainted with the Cincinnati hospital, while their co-workers made arrangements to fly patients, staff and patients' families to Cincinnati. They all arrived later on Thursday.

A total of six patients, ranging in ages from 14 months to 13 years old, are in Cincinnati from Galveston.

The last time the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital received patients from their sister hospital in Galveston was during the city's evacuation for Hurricane Rita in 2005. Ike is expected to be the biggest test for Texas since Rita.
