1 box refrigerated pie dough crust
6 Tablespoons butter
1/2 Cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 dash of nutmeg
6 apples (Granny Smith, Rome Beauty or McIntosh) peeled cored and cut into 8 wedges
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Assemble tart, mix sugar and place in bottom of 10 inch cast iron skillet, arrange apple slices on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place skillet over medium heat, and cook until sugar mixture is light amber in color and bubbly 8-10 minutes.
Transfer to oven and bake about 30 minutes.
Carefully place pie dough on top and bake for 15 minutes more.
