Police investigate death of an Alabama man in Avondale

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)-- Cincinnati Police are investigating the death of an Alabama man that occurred in Avondale early Sunday morning.

At 3:30am, police were called to the 700 black of South Fred Shuttlesworth Drive for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived they found 43-year-old Woodrow Wilson Slater fatally injured. He was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
