Bouncers shot at local nightclub

ROSELAWN, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police are searching for the suspects responsible for a double shooting outside a Roselawn night club.

It happened about 10 p.m. Tuesday night in the parking lot of Vito's, in the 7700 block of Reading Road.

Police think the shooters might have been upset they couldn't get into Vito's Club, so they pulled out a gun and started shooting. Police say they fired 18 rounds.

But two bouncers were hit and rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third bouncer was grazed by a bullet.

The victims have been identifed as Nehemiah Squire, 31, of Batavia, and Jeremiah Squire Jr., 33, of Cincinnati. A third person, John Ringer, 31, of Cincinnati, was grazed. According to the police report, Nehemiah Squire suffered gunshot wounds to his left bicept and right hip, Jeremiah Squire was hit in the right foot and back of the neck. Ringer was grazed by a bullet in his left tricept region.

This is at least the fourth shooting here in the last two and a half years. A person was murdered inside the crowded club in March of that year.

Police have not yet released a description of the suspects. The investigation continues. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 352-3040.
