Life in prison for Grant County man

WILLIAMSTOWN, KY (FOX19) - A Grant County man who murdered his parents was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.

Russell Bramlage admitted to killing his parents, Terry and Lynda, in their home last November. Russell Bramlage said he was tired of his mother nagging him about getting a job, so he killed her. When is father came home, Russell offered to help him look for her, and then killed him, too.

Bramlage was sentenced to two life sentences, one for each murder charge. He also was sentenced on other charges, including robbery, forgery and tampering with evidence, that will run consecutive with his life sentence.

He will be eligible for parole after 20 years.

His family members asked that Bramlage not receive the death penalty.

Terry Bramlage was a dentist in Taylor Mill. Terry and Lynda had four children, with Russell being the youngest. Russell is a former basketball player for Dixie Heights High School and attended Union College.
