ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) - The Air Force Academy class ring that a serviceman lost 42 years ago is back home.

But it came from an unlikely place - halfway across the world, in China.

The ring went MIA when U.S. pilot Patrick Wynne was shot down over Vietnam.

A family who lived there took the ring to China after the war. On Wednesday, it was returned to the late pilot's family, who lives in northern Kentucky.
