UPDATE: Bridgetown girl charged

UPDATE: The 16-year-old girl who went missing over the weekend has been charged with making false alarms after police found that she had not been abducted.

The girl led police and her family to believe that she had been kidnapped, but police found that she had not been a victim of foul play.

The girl will appear in Hamilton County Juvenile Court.

UPDATE: Police found the 16-year-old girl safe around noon Monday morning.

The girl called her mother  from a convenience store near the corner of Woodlawn and Glenway.

The girl would only tell her mom that whoever took her "hid her" and that "I escaped from them and ran."

She was taken for questioning by Green Township Police.

The case remains under investigation.
