RABBIT HASH, KY (FOX19) - The votes are in, and Rabbit Hash has a new mayor.

Lucy Lou, a red and white border collie, received 8,085 votes to become the new mayor. She beat out nine other dogs, one cat, one opossum, one jackass, and one human being for position of political power in the small Ohio River community in Boone County, Kentucky.

She replaces Junior Cochran, a black lab, who passed away earlier this year.

Lucy Lou is owned by Bobbi Kayser. According to Rabbit Hash's Web site, she has lived her whole life in Rabbit Hash. She is in town every day and has appointed herself the town tour guide, meeting visitors and making sure they see all the sights.
