Fountain Square Christmas tree arrives

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Christmas season is here on Fountain Square.

The 54-foot Christmas tree arrived from Wooster, Ohio to Cincinnati on Sunday.

Once it's decorated, it will be the biggest tree to ever grace Fountain Square, with 20,000  lights and a 5-foot-tall bow topper, courtesy of Macy's.

"It's gonna be spectacular," said Bill Donabedian with 3CDC. "It's gonna have 3,000 white lights on it, and it's gonna be like nothing we've ever had in Cincinnati."

The ice rink on Fountain Square opens on Thanksgiving Day. The official tree-lighting will be the day after Thanksgiving.
