NKU professor dies following stroke

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19) - A professor at Northern Kentucky University has died after suffering from a stroke.

Danny Miller was the chair of the English Department. He had been at NKU since 1981 and was chair since 2000.

Miller suffered a stroke last week and had been in a coma.

NKU president Dr. James Votruba issued the following statement:

It is with a profound sense of sadness and personal loss that I inform you that Professor Danny Miller died today. His family and friends were with him.

The university will host a memorial for Danny and I will notify the campus when plans have been finalized. To Danny's family, friends, students and colleagues, you are in our thoughts during this time of loss.

He was loved by all and he will be deeply missed on our campus and in our lives.
