SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - More then 20 families were forced from their home after an apartment complex caught fire in Sharonville.
The flames broke out about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the Waterstone Place Apartments on Lippelman Road.
It started in a first floor unit that was empty then spread up to the ceiling and started burning the second floor unit above.
That person called 911.
The Sharonville Fire Department, with the help of surronding departments, got things under control in about 15 minutes.
No one was hurt and the damage is minor, but it's still not known what caused the fire to start.
"The damage is isolated to the apartment of origin," said Lt. Dan Sunderman with the Sharonville Fire Department. "Heavy damage on the first floor where it started, and damage on the second floor. The rest is just smoke and water.">
The apartment manager was helping the families who have smoke damage move into empty apartments in the complex.
