Freestore Foodbank set to begin holiday food distribution

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - The Freestore Foodbank began its Thanksgiving food distribution program on Monday.

Those needing food for Thanksgiving can pick up food at the following times at the Foodbank on 112 E. Liberty St. in Over the Rhine:

Monday, Nov. 24: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 25: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 26: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Freestore expects to distribute food to approximately 16,000 needy families during these three days. Overall, Freestore expects to distribute more than 500,000 pounds to feed approximately 16,000 families. Each household receives a box of food, a bag of produce and either a chicken, turkey or ham, as well as canned side items.

Those who would like to donate food may also do so at the East Liberty St. facility.
