LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -
UPDATE: Stanley Hall was sentenced on Friday to seven years in prison.
Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel asked the court to sentence Hall to the maximum of eight years, but the Court gave Hall credit for taking responsibility for his actions in handing down its seven year sentence.
Hutzel says the victim's condition has improved, but she does have permanent brain damage.
A Warren County man has pleaded guilty to felony child endangering in Warren county.
Prosecutors say Stanley Hall, 24, of Lebanon, attacked his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter in June, causing life-threatening injuries. The toddler was shaken and slammed against a wall, resulting in brain damage and serious physical injuries.
"The actions of Mr. Hall were terrible," Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel said. "This innocent little girl was brutally attacked, and now her attacker will be punished. We will be asking that Mr. Hall serve the maximum sentence available for his crime."
Hall faces up to eight years in prison. Sentencing will be scheduled after a pre-sentence investigation has been completed.
