CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A University of Cincinnati football player will be in court Monday afternoon after he was arrested over the weekend.

Senior defensive end Lamonte Nelms was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of resisting arrest and trespassing.

According to court documents, Nelms was at the Lodge Bar when he was asked to leave and refused. Police say he became "combative" when police tried to place him into custody.

Nelms, 22, is a senior from Ravenna, Ohio. He has started every game for UC this year and has 49 tackles and 5.5 sacks on the season.
