Teen struck, killed in Scott Township

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Scott Township.

It happened Sunday night around 8:30 p.m. at U.S. 68 near milepost 24.

Police say three juveniles were walking northbound on the eastside of the roadway when a concerned motorist stopped to check on their well-being. All three juveniles ran away from the motorist and one of them, Dustin Catlett, 14, of Georgetown, was struck by a 2001 Dodge minivan.

Catlett was transported to Brown County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the minivan, Eli Fairchild, 62, of Cincinnati, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
