USA Today has released its study of air quality in schools across the country.
Several local schools are listed among the worst in air quality.
USA Today used an EPA model to track the path of industrial pollution and mapped the locations of over 128,000 schools to determine the level of toxic chemical inside.
Among the local schools that made the first percentile as far those with the worst air quality were Elwood Place Elementary, Christ Immanuel Christian Academy, Horizon Science Academy and P.A.C.E. High School in Ohio, and St. John Evangelical Lutheran School and St. Mary Elementary School in Indiana.
The report blames local power plants for the bad air.
