PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - There were some tense moments in Price Hill early Friday morning after two homes caught on fire.

Flames broke out in a home in the 3700 block of Mayfield Ave. around 2:30 a.m. The fire was so heavy that it caused the neighboring home to catch on fire as well.

The resident of the neighboring home, Dennis Abner, said he was awaken by shattering glass and got up and noticed the fire and began helping his neighbor rescue three children from their burning home.

Investigators say two of the children were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. The father suffered cuts from breaking through glass to rescue his children. Everyone is expected to be all right.

It took firefighters two hours to knock the main body of the fire and gain control. Damage is estimated at $75,000 to the structure of origin and 25,000 to the exposed structure.

The cause has yet to be determined.
