Winter weather strikes Tri-State

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday for the entire Tri-State.

Snow fell across the Tri-State Tuesday afternoon, forcing several local schools to close early and accidents to scatter local roads.

The snow fell quick and heavily across the Tri-State, and it didn't take long to cover local roads.

FOX19 Chief Meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer says all precipitation should come to an end in the Tri-State by 4 p.m.

Many local roads were pretreated with salt on Monday.

FOX19 Chief Meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer will have the latest on the weather on the FOX19 Evening and Ten O'Clock news, and be sure to watch the FOX19 Morning News for the latest from forecaster Frank Marzullo. Weather page
