PIERCE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are searching for a Pierce Township man believed to be armed and dangerous.

Investigators say James Sullender pulled a gun on security guards when he was suspected of shoplifting at the Amelia Wal-Mart.

Police say Sullender had a person waiting in a car in the parking lot who gave him a ride. The woman and her car have been found, but she has not yet been charged.

Sullender's family says he may be suicidal or even homicidal and could confront police with the gun.

He is described as a white male, 6-foot-2 with 375 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.

Investigators believe he could be hiding out in Brown County.

If you see him, call police.
