INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - At least 5 people have been killed in weather-related crashes after freezing drizzle made travel treacherous across much of Indiana.
One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash on an icy road in South Bend this morning. The Warrick County Sheriff's Department says a Chandler man died last night when his vehicle apparently skidded on an ice-covered bridge and struck a tree.
Three people were also killed yesterday in a crash on Interstate 70 in Henry County. Meanwhile, no injuries were reported when a jet with 117 passengers on board skidded off a taxiway at Indianapolis International Airport early Wednesday morning.
Another winter storm is expected to bring snow, sleet and possibly freezing rain to northern Indiana tomorrow night into Friday morning.
