Police say Terri Decker passed away Thursday morning at University Hospital.
Police are investigating a double shooting in Elsmere.
Police aren't releasing many details about what led to the incident, which happened Tuesday evening.
Police are saying that John Decker, 49, shot his estranged wife, Terri, in her home on Garvey Ave. around 6 p.m.
He then ran back to his home on Dell Ave.
The S.W.A.T. team responded around 8:30 p.m. and when Decker didn't answer the door, they entered and found he had died from what investigators believe was a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Terri Decker was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her condition has not been released.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. They have not released a motive.
