CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19)-- The Clermont county Sheriff's Department is investigating an accidental shooting that sent one teen to the hospital on Saturday night.
Officials say they were called to the 1600 block of Beckelhymer Road for a report of an accidental shooting.
Deputies found out that a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg by his 14-year-old friend. The teens were talking about going hunting when the 14-year old grabbed a .22 caliber Ruger Rifle from the gun cabinet. The teen thought the gun was not loaded , but when he almost dropped it, he pulled the trigger and the gun fired.
Investigators say the 15-year-old teen was conscious and alert when he was transported to the hospital. His injuries appear to be not life threatening.
So far, there are no charges filed.
