Slick roads, accidents shut down I-75/71 overnight

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Several schools are closed and many local roads are covered in snow and ice.

Snow began falling around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

The slick road conditions caused dozens of wrecks, the worst of which was at the Cut-in-the-Hill in northern Kentucky.

Interstate 75/71 had to be shut down for hours because of accidents and icy conditions. Crews had to bring out salt trucks to take care of the problem.

The interstates are much clearer for the morning commute, but several side streets are still slick.
