Is now the time to buy a car?

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - This may be a very good time to be in the market for a car as dealers go after buyers.

From zero percent financing to thousands of dollars off, you name it and you'll probably see it at a local dealership.

In today's economy, wanting a car and being able to afford one are two different things.

"I think that if people are like me right now, they're going to drive their cars until the wheels fall off," said Cincinnati resident Jim Gaylord.

So how does two cars for the price of one sound?

"You never know where your going to be six months from now, four months from now, so I think that everyone needs to be buyer beware," said another Cincinnati resident, Emily McAtte.

These days, when it comes to the automobile industry, dealers like South 75 Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep in Crittenden are getting creative to get consumers through their doors by offering those two for one deals.

"There are certain models that you can get, an '08 Ram, '08 Commander and if you purchase those vehicles you can get an 08 Avenger or a Charger thrown in. All you do is pay the tax title and license on the second vehicle and its free and clear," said Sam Cox with South 75.

And it doesn't end there. With many concerned about keeping their jobs, Hyundai offers a  solution, if you happen to lose your job or income within the next year, your able to return your car, no questions asked.

"You know, lets face it. Its the second biggest purchase that people are going to make in their lifetime so people are a little worried. Its just another way that Hyundai backs them up 100 percent," said Bill Willett with Kerry Hyundai in Florence.

Now, we found they are real deals that do come with some strings attached, so if your interested educate yourself.

"I don't buy into them based on the commercials they would have to show me a lot of proof that I could really return my car after a year or I would really walk away with two cars for the price of one," said McAtte.
