FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A local pediatrician was in court on Friday for a pretrial hearing, and to also be arraigned for additional charges that were filed against him this week.
Dr. Mark Blankenburg had been charged with 27 counts involving sexual conduct with a minor and drug trafficking. He was indicted on nine more counts earlier this week.
A judge maintained Blankenburg's bond at one million dollars and said that if Blankenburg was able to post bond, the judge would consider letting him go back to practicing medicine, if there was a nurse in the room.
Blankenburg will be in court again on Feb. 13 for another pretrial hearing. His tentative trial date is June 1.
