Bellevue Police looking for a bank robber

BELLEVUE, KY (FOX19)-- Police are looking for a bank robber that struck at Fifth Third Bank Friday afternoon.

Around 1:30pm, police say a man entered the bank at Fairfield and Taylor Avenue and demanded money. No gun was displayed but the suspect threatened to use one. After the robber got the cash, he fled on foot toward Eden Avenue.

The amount of money taken in the offence was not determined.

Officials have released the surveillance pictures of the suspect. He stands at 5' 10" -6'  foot tall and has a medium build. He has dark blonde or light brown hair, the beginnings of a goatee and a noticeable scar from his nose to his upper lip.

The suspect was wearing a Carharrt brand, brown coat over a grey hooded sweatshirt and a red knit ski cap. He was also seen wearing brown gloves and gold, wrap-around sunglasses with dark lenses.
