WALNUT HILLS, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police are investigating a shooting between a 17 year old boy and an undercover officer in Walnut Hills.
Police say two undercover detectives on patrol at Stanton Avenue near Oak Street Monday afternoon saw two teens in a fight.
One of them reportedly pulled out a gun and shot at the other.
When those officers tried to break-up the fight, things got even more dangerous for everyone involved.
"They took off running and police chase the individual with the gun and police did fire one shot at that individual," said Sgt. Danita Kilgore with Cincinnati Police. "The subject then ran through a residential building and out the back and the subject was apprehended when he was coming out the back of that building. All the officers are OK. The individual that was arrested was not hit either."
The officers involved are now on paid administrative leave, which is standard during an investigation.
