Prosecutor: No charges in church fall

Posted by Trina Kinstler - email

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says no charges will be filed in the death of Keri Shryock.

Shryock died in December after she fell about 25 feet during a church Christmas pageant at Crossroads Community Church. The coroner's office later said her harness failed to lock because her clothing got stuck in it, and that's what caused her fall.

"After a full review of the investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department and the Hamilton County Coroner's Office, there is no basis for any criminal charges under Ohio law," said Deters.
