½ c butter, softened
4 c powdered confectioner's sugar
1 T whipping cream
8 drops peppermint extract
green and red food coloring
Using an electric mixer, cream butter thoroughly; add sugar gradually and mix well. Mix in cream and peppermint. Separate batter into two equal portions, coloring one with green food coloring and one red. Spoon batter into a cake decorator tube and using a shaped tip, press shapes onto waxed paper.
Allow to set for 45 minutes. (not in the refrigerator) and let set up for 30 minutes. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
