Police look for suspect who shattered window, stole motorcycle

AURORA, IN (FOX19) - Police are on the lookout for a suspect accused of smashing the window of a local business and stealing a motorcycle.

It happened early Tuesday morning at Hoosier Motorsports in Aurora.

Police say a while male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt shattered a front window of the business and backed a 2008, black, Suzuki GSX-R1000K8 sport style motorcycle through the window area and sped away behind Wal-Mart Supercenter where it was again observed by witnesses traveling West bound on U.S. 50 passing Wilson Creek Road and Billingsly Drive.

The motorcycle was possibly observed a short time later by a Dearborn County Sheriff's Department Officer in the Sunman, Indiana area possibly turning right onto Eastern Avenue.

The Officer was unable to catch up to the vehicle which was described as traveling at a high rate of speed. A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
