AURORA, IN (FOX19)-- The Dearborn County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against a man after they say he stole a motorcycle from an Indiana business on Tuesday.

On February 10, Aurora Police was informed that a man was standing in front of the Hoosier Motorsports and a shattered window. The passerby also saw the man back a motorcycle out and drive off.

A Dearborn County Sheriff was able to find the suspect and a high speed chase  began reaching 100 mph. The pursuit was eventually called off in Ohio for public safety reasons.

While the case was being investigated, the Aurora Special Crimes Unit determined that 20-year-old Joseph Lunsford was the suspect. He was apprehended on Thursday during a traffic stop in which Lunsford was the passenger. The stolen motorcycle was recovered by Lawrenceburg Police.

Joseph Lunsford has been charged with Burglary, Auto Theft, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief. The highest charge  carries a sentence of two to eight years.
