Symmes Township fire

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Families are being relocated after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.

A short tome after 5 a.m., fire crews were dispatched to the 9600 block of Waterford Place in Symmes Township.

Officials say there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the back and roof. One person had to be rescued form the building. All other occupants were able to escape safely.

In total there were 14 units damaged by the fire. Officials say there is significance structural damage to the complex and residents are being relocated by management.

A woman suffered a hip injury, but is expected to be fine. There were no other injuries reported.

The fire is still under investigation.
